Star Glazers was created by Christine Walker. Christine studied art at school but never bought into art for art's sake. For her, art needed to live in the real world, to have function and to be practical. And so it was that pottery became her passion.
She describes the process of turning clay into ceramics as being something akin to alchemy and found working with the medium to be great for centring herself.
But Star Glazers is very much a family business in which partner Mike and son, Teddy provide her with ideas and enthusiasm, support her with endless cups of tea and cuddles and keep her busy with an awful lot of washing up to be done!
